Bitterness is never a bitter pill to taste
This idea comes flowing in my mind
Images revealing a path that we once tread
A destiny that pays our debts in kind
You could see the end was coming
My failures might just be growing
Light a match and watch it glowing
What did you say?
See the façade losing its majestical veil
The prince is dead so long live happy cheer
Tendrils of his reason drain sweet repressive chills
Ensure we keep that which we all revere
Why can't I trade this life for something?
My resolve is torn and broken
Light a match and hope for nothing
I concede in shame
You pick me up with bottled glory
You just spin the same old story
I resign from my history
